Ancient lands, tropical rainforests, famous reefs

Australia

While it could take a good six to twelve months to sail around Australia, we can point you in the right direction to get the most out of a luxury yacht charter of the world’s largest island. Depending on how much time you have, we can put together an itinerary that will take you from the tropics of North Queensland to one of the most beautiful harbours (and cities) in the world. And the ‘top end’, where vast and ancient coastlines are steeped in Dreamtime.

Deserted beaches and island dotted coral seas

Australia’s tropical far north is home to The Whitsunday Islands, one of the world’s most beautiful, scenic, and safest places to sail. Home to the wondrous Great Barrier Reef and renowned Whitehaven Beach, nowhere is the sheer expanse and seemingly deserted sands of this vast continent more suited to luxury sailing. The marine life is stunning. The blue skies, clean air and quality of sunlight is unsurpassed. Spend long days diving, snorkelling, and pulling in to eat at fine dining establishments. Or find a secluded bay to enjoy the cocktail hour and spectacular sunsets.

Ancient rivers and biodiversity

The rivers, gorges and billabongs of Australia’s ‘top end’ are legendary. You can cruise heritage-listed national parks and witness turtles nesting on Bare Sand Island. The waters of Arnhem Land are a tropical fishing paradise. The Kimberleys, an ancient wilderness, are home to some of the oldest rock art galleries in the world as well as natural formations like the Bungle Bungles in Purnululu National Park. Only here can you witness the “horizontal falls”, described by Sir David Attenborough as “one of the greatest wonders of the natural world.” Cruise west to Broome and Cable Beach, famed for its camel trains and vast sunsets.

We can put together an itinerary that will allow you to experience the incredible
uniqueness of Australia and its wonders, with the privacy and freedom of a luxury yacht charter.
